My hat wall. 

While I was working on my hat wall it occurred to me-I could use a few more hats. It's not that I don't have enough, or that I hate the hats I already own. It's because I believe a girl can never really have too many great hats. They are all different in their own special headwear way and I am under the assumption that a fantastic fedora can really add some character to any outfit- especially in fall and winter. As I was compiling some of my wish list items I realized that most everything on it was black! I don't know if it's because fall is finally upon us or because halloween will be here before we know it, but right now I'm just all about the color black. It's classic, it's slimming, and it is always chic. A wise woman once said, “Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.” This woman is none other than style icon Coco Chanel. Above are some of my favorite must haves that I've been coveting lately. It's hard to get excited about something on a Monday- but it is possible! I couldn't wait to post one of my favorite laid back looks on the blog. This look starts with something so simple- a basic, long sleeve tee and black jeans. The best way to change up this look for fall is to pair this ensemble with a plaid shirt around the waist (all the rage this season), a hat with leather detail, and some insanely gorgeous rose gold Vans. These add-ons take a simple look to a whole other level. I like to top off most of my looks with a nice designer bag. My Balenciaga was perfect for this outfit because its hardware is rose gold just like my tennies and the blue/gray color matches the plaid shirt to a T. I love the almost "grunge" look the plaid shirt gives this outfit-and the shoes...oh the shoes...I'm just in love with them. They are the most unique color of tennis shoes I've ever seen! I have a feeling this will be one of my "OOTD" ("outfit of the day") looks a lot this fall. What will your fall uniform be? xox
