Spring Edit

Spring is on its way, and with all of these gorgeous floral pieces flooding the fashion scene, it can't get here soon enough! Right now I am lusting after all things SPRING- straw totes, floral prints, eyelet detail, soft color pallets. I wanted to share a few of my inspiration pieces for the arrival of Spring and a few items I must get my hands on (like that hat! I'm a sucker for a good straw hat). Granted I cannot fit into any of the clothing items because of my growing belly (28 weeks! ahhhhh) but hey, a girl can still be inspired by romantic prints and stock up on her "post-baby wardrobe", can't she? :)  Have an amazing rest of your week all of my Holland & Mint followers! xo

All I Need are Knits

A few of my favorite sweaters.

It's safe to say that I am slightly (alright, completely) obsessed with sweaters, sweater weather, and everything that has to do with being cozy and bundled up when the weather get chilly. I simply can't get enough! As you can tell from the picture above, I live by the mantra that you can never have too many neutral knits in your closet. A few of my favorite cream and white sweaters that I am lusting over at the moment include this one by Enza Costa, this little dream by Vince, this Asos one, this delicate one from J.Crew, and this gorgeous piece by 360 Sweater. Now I just have to pray the weather starts cooling off so I can sport these amazing knits. I'm literally at the point where I'm kicking the AC up a couple of notches so I can wear my sweaters inside the house. haha Oh boy! Would love hearing what your favorite Fall color scheme is and where you go to shop your favorite sweaters. Happy Thursday! xo

Classic Cool

Image via Pinterest
This is one of my favorite looks. It's very classic, put together, and still comes across as though you didn't try too hard. High waisted jeans are what I'm about at the moment, and pairing them with a clean, crisp white tee just adds to that "cool" factor. Not to mention, these heels are to DIE for! They definitely take the look from day to night. Just throw on your favorite leather jacket and you're ready for cocktails with the girls. LOVE! Happy Thursday everyone!

What We Wore + Ate: Cabo Part II

What I'm Wearing at Flora Farm:
Hat (bought in Santa Cruz- Similar here)

What Luca is Wearing at Flora Farm:
Authentic Mexican Top (bought last year at Mi Casa)
White Shorts (similar here)

I've already done one post about our trip to Cabo for Spring Break, along with a few of my favorite places to eat while visiting! I had to continue that last post with a bit on Flora Farm- such a unique, hidden gem in Cabo. We ended up going there on our last day in Mexico, and it was the perfect send off.

We had heard about Flora Farm from numerous people and finally decided this last trip to go. We weren't sure if we should visit during the day or night, but we decided to enjoy a fresh Sunday brunch! The food was amazing and the drinks were outstanding! I had the JalapeƱo Margarita! Ummmm- SO GOOD!! Highly recommended!

Everything at Flora Farm is made right there, including their skincare products! They had a little Skincare store that was so adorable right on the property! I bought some of their Rose Water Mist and their Cuticle Cream. I love them both! Next time I'll be buying more! They also had a wine shop and a store that carried toys, jewelry, handbags, etc. Such a fun place to spend the day walking around, checking out all the crops that they grow, and perusing the numerous products they carry.

If you are ever in Cabo, Flora Farm is a must do! Luca loved checking out the turtles in the pond as well as climbing all over the play structure and running on the huge lawn! While we ate our food there was live music which we all enjoyed as well as a little Farmers Market area that we will have to get food to go next time to cook ourselves! We want to try dinner there on our next trip to Cabo, but brunch really was amazing because you could see all the crops growing right next to our table! This is a can't miss place in Cabo and I hope you get the chance to visit!

Let There Be Stripes

There is something so chic and so timeless about stripes. It's a classic print that everyone needs in their wardrobe. It's also great for any occasion, any time of year, and addition to any ensemble. If you are building your wardrobe and want pieces that will never go out of style, no matter what the trend is at the moment, add stripes! A few of my favorite striped items below! xo

The One Piece

Is it just me, or can a one piece be even more sultry looking than a bikini? I've really fallen in love with them! I enjoy the fact that the one piece bathing suit keeps a little more to the imagination, I admire the tiny details you can add to the one piece that you really don't get with the bikini, and I rather love the idea that you don't have to regret taking a bite of those fries at lunch or drinking that extra glass of wine! I mean, come on-who doesn't want that?! Not to mention all the different style one pieces that are out there- cut outs, deep v, halter, mesh, etc. I also love that by adding a skirt or shorts to your one piece bathing suit, it can become a nice outfit to wear to lunch or even to dinner if the day at the beach ends up getting late. I was just sporting this Somedays Lovin one piece to the beach the other day and got a ton of compliments and questions about where I got it (Posted on my Instagram)! Here are a few more one piece's that I'm obsessing over! How do you feel about the bikini vs. the one piece? Which will you be wearing this summer? xo

What We Wore + Ate: Cabo Part I

This year for spring break we went to Cabo with the fam! It was a great time and so much fun now that Luca is a little older. Last year we took the same trip, but Luca couldn't walk yet and was still breast feeding so it was a lot of work! This year he was running around on the sand, dunking his toes in the pool and getting haggled to buy some little Mexican trinkets on the beach! Not only did I get a much needed tan, but I got to do one of my favorite things- eat lots and lots of Mexican food! A few of my favorite places include Las Cascadas, The Office, The Hacienda, Mi Casa, & Edith's. At each places I like to check out all their serving dishes and glassware as well! It's just so beautiful! I want it all!

What I'm Wearing at Las Cascadas:
Black Dress (Similar Here & Here)
Celine Sunglasses
Gap Hawaiian Shirt (Similar Here)

At Las Cascadas you sit on the beach in the sand (just be careful not to flip your seat over in the sand! So easy to do! I think we have all done it atleast once or twice at this point! Definitely makes for a good story and laugh! haha) My favorite thing to order at Las Cascadas is their tortilla soup! It's killer! One of the best. I ended up doing a Tortilla soup tasting at each place we went and this one was definitely in the top 3. Their food is so fresh and delicious! Also, you can't leave without ordering their Mexican Coffee at the end! It's quite the show and tastes so yummy!

What I'm Wearing at The Office:
Off the Shoulder Top (Similar Here & Here)

The Office is just a good time with great food! It's on the beach as well and it has a fun ambiance as well as awesome Mexican food! I prefer to sit in a little off the water so our dinner doesn't get interrupted with people selling sombreros or sarongs! I save that for during the day. We always have to make a stop at The Office, and their store across the way is amazing too- I bought some great crosses there!

What I'm Wearing at The Hacienda:
Dress (Similar Here & Here)

The Hacienda is a hotel at the end of the beach (close to the Marina) and they also have a great setting up on the rocks with lights hanging outside. The hotel is stunning, and just walking around the grounds makes you envious for your own Mexican villa! I'd say the margaritas there are beyond killer! So delish and so many options which I love! The food is outstanding at The Hacienda (I ordered the Shrimp and it was to die for!) but the dessert, oh man! We ordered the churros and it was out of this world!

Mi Casa's Day of the Dead Figurines.

Mi Casa is another fun place to eat with the family! Luca loved the "balloon guy" and the little birds that read your fortunes! The store inside Mi Casa is another great place to pick up authentic Mexican items- I got a gorgeous candle holder, some more crosses, and some stuffed animals for Luca. Mi Casa is definitely at the top of our list!

Edith's Patio.

Edith's is another spot we never miss out on! They have amazing meat options and they are well known for their Caesar salad that they make right at the table! Luca loved watching it and it kept him incredibly entertained! Let's just say I want to make Edith's restaurant into my back yard! It's so romantic and beautiful, I just love eating under the stars and lanterns! Another fun show they put on at the table are the bananas fosters for dessert! (My all-time favorite dessert!) You will not be disappointed visiting any of these places to eat!

Vintage Chanel

Today I was organizing my jewelry box-which needed to happen! I have a tendency to rush while getting ready and occasionally toss my jewelry back in without putting it in its proper place, not to mention I have a little mad man who wreaks havoc around the house and likes to shake the jewelry box and throw anything he can get his hands on, on the ground (uh oh! haha). It felt so nice to do a little tidying up, and I especially love coming across items I used to wear all the time but have been pushed to the back over time- like a few of my gorgeous vintage Chanel pieces! They are just so stunning and unique, making great statement pieces for any outfit! Pair a large pair of vintage pearl Chanel earrings with a white tee and ripped jeans and you are good to go! Or wear a simple little black dress, as Coco Chanel would do, and pair it with a stunning vintage Chanel necklace. I love Vintage items because the items are rare and coveted, and these are CHANEL!

Right now, One Kings Lane is having a sale on Vintage Chanel items, so if you are interested you must take a look! A few of my favorite items they are carrying on the site include the Chanel Pearl & Crystal Flower Earrings, the Chanel Cross on Faux-Pearl Necklace, the Chanel Triple-Strand Beaded Bracelet, the Chanel Bow & Coin Choker, and the iconic Chanel Quilted Logo Pendant Necklace. Only one of each item is in stock and they will go quickly! The jewelry is quite expensive but its definitely an investment and you have to really adore the pieces you purchase. One Kings Lane is one of my favorite sites to shop on and they carry unbelievable Vintage items! Hope you find something that tickles your fancy! And always remember: Coco made me do it!

Everlane

Everlane has got to be one of my favorite online retailers! They are an SF based, online-only, clothing, shoes, and accessory brand founded on the idea of "Radical Transparency." Everlane is able to find the best factories that will do the best job to make all their custom items, by being very hands on. They even divulge every detail about where their own costs go to show that they aren't marking up their items like many other retailers do. It is refreshing to see a brand being so honest and real about their product, where they it's made, and all the other specifics. Having already bought a couple pairs of their shoes- I know their products are extremely well made and beautiful beyond belief! Not only do they sell women's items but men's and mini's as well. Everlane uses top of the line materials and stand behind their products 100%. I am a huge fan of their clothing, shoes, and accessories, and admire the integrity they put into their brand. I urge any of you who wants to support an amazing endeavor to visit Everlane and get your shopping on! You will not be disappointed!

What I'm Packing: Mexico

I'm so ready for a little vacay!! Who else is with me?! We are headed to Mexico for a little R&R and I couldn't be more excited! Whenever I'm headed to a warm weather destination I like to purchase a few new items (like a bikini and some sandals) and plan a couple of my beach looks. I think it's my way of visualizing the beach, the sand, and the margarita in my hand!

Style Envy: Olivia Palermo

I am just swooning over Olivia Palermo's style! I've always been a fan of hers, but recently I've found myself going to her for style inspiration. She continuously looks so put together and can create such an amazing, classic look that is timeless yet still all her own at the same time. Whether she's dressed up for a fashion show or dressed down in a pair of trainers to grab some coffee, she is always looking polished, classic, and on trend. I admire Olivia's style, and girl is never afraid to accessorize! To pull off a classic Olivia Palermo look you can start with a pair of super chic flats, paired with a fun yet feminine A-line skirt and a classic denim button up. Now don't forget to accessorize, just like Olivia Palermo is a pro at doing, with some Westward Leaning x Olivia Palermo shades. Voila!  Now you're ready to be on page six's best dressed list!

The Little White Dress

Sometimes all you need is a really cute little white dress! Really! The simplicity of a LWD is unparalleled; It's easy, timeless, and all you need to go from day to night. You really can never go wrong with a little white dress. There's no fuss; leave your hair down and slide your toes into some shimmering sandals. Good to go! You can keep it casual with this little number, or here are a few others that I am lusting after right now: this Lovers + Friends dress, this ultra feminine Tularosa dress, this Rails dress,  and also this BB Dakota LWD! Really, a little white dress is so chic and always in fashion.

Pixie Market

I recently found out about the online retailer- Pixie Market. I love the items they carry and they also have such great finds for fabulous prices! The items are very on trend and incredibly unique. I've placed a couple orders from them already and have received my items in a very timely manner. They also send a cute reusable bag with your order as though you had just gone shopping literally in the store! Love that! There are so many pieces that I am lusting after from Pixie Market- A few of them being the black bell sleeve blazer (pictured above), the striped bell cuff white tee, the lace up romper, and the velvet lace boho blouse. Definitely check out their website!

The Beach Bag

I'm leaving for Cabo soon, and it has me looking through all my beach bags to pick a few for the trip.  I'm always on the hunt for the perfect beach bag. I love going to the beach but of course I need a large tote to carry all of my necessities in there- sunscreen, reading material, hat, phone, coverup, baby toys & food, etc. That's why finding the right bag for my lifestyle is a pretty big deal!

There are so many routes you can go- the raffia basket, the classic canvas tote, or the designer bag (or one of my favorite ways-right off the beach from a vender- you just gotta haggle a little bit!) I usually opt for the natural woven bag with some sort of simple print or detail on it or a canvas tote (I find them to be pretty durable with all the wear and tear I put them through with a baby and everything I end up throwing inside it. But, no matter which route you end up going, they are all so chic and fantastic in their own way! Why not have hundreds and just change them with your swimsuit/look? That sounds good to me! Below are a few of my favorites!

The Classic Nude Pump

Right now I am lusting after these beauties! I know, I know, it's so sad that I don't already own a pair of classic nude pointed-toe heels, but alas, it is true. I am thinking I need to add this pretty little pair of pumps to my shoe closet, stat! They are so classic and timeless; and no matter what they are paired with, for example- ripped rolled up jeans and a tee, a little black dress, even leather pants with an oversized black sweater- they will look phenomenal with anything! They are a must-have shoe essential and clearly I need to jump aboard this ship! I just don't know exactly which ones to get first with all the fantastic options out there! Which ones do you think are the perfect nude heels- Gianvito RossiChristian LouboutinCasadeiChristian LouboutinJimmy Choo, or these Valentino?? Would love your help!

Simply Scalloped

The slight detail of a delicate scallop is just stunning. I find the scallop to create a huge impact on the look of any one item- it can be on the hem of a top, along the edge of a bathing suit, around some ordinary tan flats, or down the buttons of a button up top. Wherever it may be, a scallop is a sophisticated, subtle detail that really speaks volumes. I love the classic look and how it adds a feminine quality to a plain tee or to a pair of simple navy shorts.

Straight to the Point

I am loving pointed-toe flats right now! Not that they just came into fashion; they've always been chic! It's just that now having a baby, it's nice to look put together and sophisticated without having to be  in heels for every event. They are a great alternative! Pointed-toe flats are timeless, elegant, and super sophisticated. Other moms can agree, I'm sure, that it's tough to run after a 1 1/2 year old with high heels on! I'll opt for the flats, thank you very much! Not to mention when you are walking around the city, it's so nice to not have to be in pain! You can look just as glam with pointed-toe flats as you can with heels when you show up for a meeting, minus the pain and discomfort. There are a few that I am loving right now and they all have different price points. Not to mention they come in many different styles and colors as well. Of course black and tan are my usual go to's but a chic print could be fun too!
